1888	School opens under Mr C Howard. Four Boys in Combe Lodge.	A Classroom in Combe Lodge The School Room in the new Junior School - where the Library & Boarder's Kitchen are today. 1893	Mr W Bryan takes over as Headmaster.
1894	Rev J W Kearns takes over as Headmaster.
1898	First Typewritten Magpie Magazine.
1900	Mr E Easterfield takes over as Headmaster.
1907	New Junior School opens.
1910	Scout Troop founded by Mr W Jameson.
1919	Numbers reach 100.
1921	Introduction of Common Entrance.
1922	Purchase of Glenburnie.
1924	Sham Rugger Field first used.
1930	Mr Collander Brown takes over as Headmaster.
1933	Rev W Jameson takes over as Headmaster.
	Hockey introduced by Mr B Morris.
1937	Glenburnie Pre-Prep opens.
1950	Mr B Morris takes over as Headmaster.
	New House System - Howard, Kearns, Easterfield & Jameson.
1951	First girl starts (daughter of Mr Morris).
1952	Dedication of St. George's Chapel.
1953	Tutor System introduced.
1955	First House Music Competition.
1957	Outdoor Swimming Pool opened
1967	Scout Hut opened.
1969	Mr J Coates takes over as Headmaster.
1970	First Wells Walk.
1976	New Gym Opened.
1979	Winners of the Prep Schools .22 Shooting Championships.
1983	Law Building opened by Princess Anne
1984	Mr P LeRoy takes over as Headmaster.
1988	Centenary Year.
1989	Coates Building opened by Baroness Cox.
1993	Mr E Clarke takes over as Headmaster.

1995	Boys Hockey VII U13 National Champions.
1998	Mr C Stafford takes over as Headmaster.
1999	Opening of Clarke Swimming Centre by Duncan Goodhew.
2001	Boys Hockey VII County Champions for 9th successive year.
	School acquires its own website.
2004	Leroy Library opened by Michael Morpurgo, Children's Laureate.
2005	U11 girls West of England Hockey Champions.
2006	School changes its name from Monkton Combe Junior to Monkton Prep.
