Sports ResultsBoys' Results - Girls' Results - Athletics - Directions to Other Schools On this page you will find links to the results for matches played by the school teams, as well as pictures of various sporting events. During the Summer Term the boys play Cricket and the girls play Rounders and Tennis.Pupils also take part in Athletics & Swimming Fixtures.Congratulations to the 1st VII Girls' Hockey Team - the new County Champions! The girls won the title without conceding a single goal, beating Clifton 3-0 in the final. They will now move on to represent BANES in the South-West Regional Championships.
The Year 6 Girls Netball Team made history on 22nd February by becoming the first Monkton team ever to win the MCJS Rowland Jones Netball Tournament!

Congratulations to Kearns, the overall winners of the Inter-House Cross Country. Congratulations also to Jonathan Raby, Sarah Geake, Ben Fussell, Lydia Thacker, Charlie Spooner and Katie Holdoway, the individual year group winners. Some of the Year 7 and 8s toiling up the hill. Some actually seem to be enjoying it! Sports News from the Summer Term 2005The U13 Cricket Team ensured the season came to a triumphant finish by beating Bristol Grammar School by nine wickets to win the County Cup! Toby Davies & Ed Vickers snatch a quick single to bring the scores level. A first for MCJS! Will Graves won the High Jump at the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships on Monday 6th July, making him the National Prep Schools Champion! Congratulations to Anthony Dann, Will Graves & Soo Ji Kang, who have been selected for the National Prep Schools Athletics Championships after coming first or second in their events at the South-West Regional Athletics. See the Athletics page for full details The Year 5 and 6 girls competed in an Athletics meeting at the Royal High against 10 other schools. Our B Team won their section, and Monkton won the combined A & B team trophy! Our first placed athletes were: A Team - Emma Barrett (Rounders ball); B Team - Soo Ji Kang (80m), Anna Stoelinga (Long Jump & Rounders Ball), Lydia Thacker (800m), & the 4x80m relay team. Monkton came third in the Invitational Athletics Meeting held at the school on 23rd May. Congratulations to the Year 5 Girls, who won their section of the event! See the Athletics page for the full results. Congratulations to the U11 Girls' Hockey Team who came third in the National Hockey Championships at Nottingham on Sunday 15th May.
The girls needed a victory in their last match to win the competition, but despite having the majority of the possession, lost 1-0 to the eventual winners, Orwell Park, and finished equal on points with the second placed team. However, the team did not come away empty handed, being given the Fair Play Award. Allegra Willder was also chosen as Player of the Tournament! Well done to all the girls, and their coach Mr Bailey!
