Californian Red-legged Frog

The californian red-legged frog is the largest native frog in the U.S. They have salmon pink or red hind legs and bellies. They live in wetlands or streams in california. It is endangered because during the 1800s and the 1900s it was harvested for food and it was also eaten by bigger bull-frogs. Now people have decided to destroy their habitat.

I think people should protect their habitat.

Monteverde Golden Toad

The monteverde golden toad lives in Costa Rica. They are a unbelievable luminous orange. They can live up to 12 years but no-one has seen them in the last 7 years. They are very sensitive to changes in their habitat and the climate and so when people destroy their habitat they suffer. It is not known whether they are extinct or not, but they are certainly very endangered. Is it too early to say they are extinct?

The Californian tiger salamander

The californian tiger salamander lives in California (duh!). It's been eliminated from it's breeding site from an estimated 55% to 58%. The loss of them is due to humans destroying their habitat due to activities.

I think we should be more careful were we do activities.
