Johnny Christopher Depp was born in Owensboro in the States of Kentucky on June 9th 1963. He was bought up in Florida  but dropped out of school at the age of 17 because he wanted to be a rock star. At the age of 20 he was lead musician in a band called "The Kids".

His first film was in 1984  - "A Nightmare on Elm Street". He  is currently living with a French singer/actress called Vanessa Paradis who has born him 2 children, Lily-Rose Melody who was born in 1999 and Jack born in 2002.
