Usher grew up in Tennessee in Georgia. He was singing in his Church
Choir led by his mum Jonnetta Patton at the age of six. Usher grew up
with his mum and brother. Through his teen years his mother always
supported him in his singing career and went along to all his talent
shows, He was spotted by a record executed from La Face records at the age of 14. In 1997 he released his first album "my way" as an attempt to show his maturity. his first single on that "you make me wanna" stayed at the top of r'n'b charts for 11 weeks!, got number two in the pop charts and got a double platinum. His other two singles "nice & slow" and " my way" also got a platinum. He was and still is a well established r'n'b star. |
