The horse belongs to the Equus family this means horse in Latin and also is derived from the Greek word for quickness .Horses come from the donkey, mules and  zebra. There are a very wide range of of horse types but these fall in to two main divisions

of light horse and heavy horse. you can approximate  the age of the horse by examining their teeth and the aspects like if they are new or old or by the length this is much harder to do with the adult horse
